ECCP Food and Beverage Committee Meeting - 27 February 2019

The ECCP Food and Beverage Committee meeting was held last 27 February 2019. The Committee received a presentation from Dr. Kenneth Hartigan-Go which focused on food safety. Moreover, the Committee members discussed updates on port congestion and customs, primarily on the salient points of post-clearance audit. Developments regarding the additional excise taxes on alcoholic beverage were also tackled during the meeting. 

The Committee also reviewed its previous advocacies:

  • Business Facilitation
  • Improvement of registration and regulation process
  • Improvements to the Fiscal Environment for Alcoholic Beverages
  • Implementation of the National Single Window
  • Protection of Geographical Indications
