BUSINESS leaders gathered at the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) Davao Community Connect to explore opportunities for collaboration and growth in Davao, with FAST Logistics Group highlighting the role of integrated end-to-end logistics in supporting business and trade growth.
During the gathering held at Park Inn by Radisson Davao, ECCP member companies fostered collaboration, knowledge sharing, and partnerships in the region, while sharing insights on how businesses can scale and contribute to Mindanao’s economic growth. The event was attended by ECCP executive director Florian Gottein.
Speaking at the event, FAST business development manager for Mindanao Melvin Mendoza discussed how integrated third-party logistics (3PL) and fourth-party logistics (4PL) solutions, such as those offered by FAST, help companies simplify supply chain management while improving visibility and operational efficiency.
FAST’s end-to-end logistics solutions are designed to support companies across industries, including FMCG, retail, pharmaceuticals, and automotive.
“Reliable logistics enables companies to move goods faster, reduce operational costs, and improve delivery performance,” Mendoza said.
FAST also shared how having a single point of contact for logistics operations allows businesses to focus on their core activities while relying on FAST’s expertise to manage their supply chains.
By integrating multiple logistics functions under a single provider, businesses can reduce coordination challenges while maintaining end-to-end visibility of shipments, from origin to final delivery, Mendoza noted.
Companies can also operate more efficiently amid supply chain disruptions when supported by a transport and logistics partner with warehousing and toll manufacturing capabilities.
In addition, Mendoza emphasized that FAST provides a forward stocking strategy for businesses.
A forward stocking strategy refers to positioning inventory closer to key customers and markets, helping businesses reduce lead times and respond more quickly to demand fluctuations. It also enables companies to respond more effectively to supply chain disruptions.
During the event, Mendoza noted that FAST is in the final stages of opening the FAST Logistics and Crossdock Mega Hub in Acacia, Indangan in Davao. The facility will have a total leasable area of 18,608 square meters and 13,840 pallet positions.
It is strategically located about 12 kilometers from Davao International Airport and 15 kilometers from the PPA/SASA Port.
With its nationwide network, integrated warehousing and transport capabilities, and end-to-end supply chain expertise, FAST is well positioned to design and manage forward stocking solutions that enable faster market access and scalable growth.
Furthermore, Mendoza emphasized that Mindanao presents strong opportunities for business growth, driven by developments in agriculture, manufacturing, retail, and trade.
As industries expand, the need for efficient and reliable supply chains becomes increasingly critical.
