Job Position: Advocacy Officer
Job Type: Full time

The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) is dedicated to fostering a better business environment for both European and Filipino companies. Collaborating with stakeholders across government, the business sector, civil society, and academia, the ECCP seeks actionable solutions to enhance market access, ensure a level playing field, and promote long-term economic welfare in the Philippines.

Through its 24 sector committees, the ECCP facilitates regular discussions on key issues and advocates for meaningful reforms. These efforts are advanced via tools such as position papers, legislative drafts, annual Advocacy Papers, and direct engagement with government stakeholders.

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Advocacy Officer to join our dynamic team.

Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Associate Director for Government and International Affairs and the Industry and Government Affairs Manager, the Advocacy Officer will:

  • Monitor and Analyze: Identify, research, and track emerging advocacy issues and policy developments affecting the European-Philippine business community; update members and stakeholders on their potential impact.
  • Committee Management: Organize and facilitate ECCP industry committee meetings and related activities.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Coordinate external meetings, liaise with advocacy partners, and build relationships with government officials.
  • Advocacy Coordination: Oversee specific Advocacy Committees in collaboration with the Advocacy Team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.



Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Social Sciences, Public Administration, Economics, or related fields.
  • 2–3 years of relevant work experience, preferably in advocacy, public policy, or stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent report-writing and communication skills in English.
  • Familiarity with Philippine current events and policy landscape.
  • Proven ability to manage a high volume of work under tight deadlines with accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Team player with excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills.
