J. C. Domingo Enterprises Corporation was established initially as a Sole Proprietorship, then, incorporated in 1957. The major partners were Jose Cruz Domingo, Sr. and Maria Clara Lopez Domingo, husband and wife, controlled and operated the company as a trading house. Deriving its income as commission agent, indentor and manufacturers' representative the company supplied the sheet metal and can-making industries, and hardware trade. The most famous international companies represented by JCDEC at this early stage were W.R. Grace Co. and Angelus Sanitary Can Machine Co. of USA, Krupp Industrie and Stahlbau, and Lanico Maschinenbau of West Germany, and Leon Bekaert of Belgium. In 1976 its current Chairman and President, Jose L. Domingo, Jr., joined the company as Sales Engineer then took over management in 1969. He directed and focused the company's activities towards the food processing sector. From a company of five personnel, JCDEC grew six times, and enough to cover the Meat Processing, the Canmaking, the Flexible Packaging, the Fish Processing and the Caps & Crown manufacturing industries. Ever since, it was the policy of the company to send sales and aftersales personnel for training in European and American suppliers's facilities. Because of this competence the suppliers and the buyers respected the JCDEC's ability to deliver the expected goods and services. Anticipating the inter-generational growth pains of a family enterprises, the company in 1980 made plans and later implemented the spin-off of viable sections of the company. JCD Metalfabrik Inc. and JCD Propac Inc. are among the companies already operating on its own.
