The automotive industry is a major component of the government's industrial development program having crafted various industrial policies over the years to groom the Philippines as a regional manufacturing hub. Some of the recent initiatives of the government to develop the sector include the Comprehensive Automotive Resurgence Strategy (CARS) program to reinvigorate local motor vehicle manufacturing and a proposed industry framework and incentives regime for the domestic electric vehicles (e-vehicles) industry. With these plans, policymakers aim to improve the sector's competitiveness by attracting investments, creating jobs, and bringing in technology.

Join us at this online session with Department of Trade and Industry Undersecretary Rafaelita Aldaba as she presents updates on the various policy options to develop the budding e-vehicles industry and the proposed adjustments in the CARS program against the backdrop of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Learn how your company can tap the investment opportunities from the government's automotive development programs and play a role in driving economic growth.
