ECCP Luncheon Meeting with Mayor Vico
In recent years, Pasig City has emerged as a frontrunner among local government units in advancing sustainability and innovation through forward-looking urban development strategies. Central to this transformation is the city's Innovation for Circular Economy (ICE) Hub—an initiative designed to promote resource efficiency, waste reduction, and sustainable production and consumption practices. By institutionalizing circular economy principles at the local level, Pasig City aims to create a more resilient, inclusive, and environmentally responsible urban ecosystem.
The I.C.E. Hub, in particular, represents a strategic approach to addressing urban challenges. Notably, the initiative has also engaged with several European national embassies in the Philippines, fostering knowledge exchange, technical cooperation, and pilot projects aligned with global best practices in circular economy and sustainable urban development.
Against this backdrop, the European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) is convening a Luncheon Meeting with Mayor Vico Sotto to provide a platform for dialogue on Pasig City's circular economy initiatives and the development of its I.C.E. Hub. The session aims to offer insights on the following:
- Discussing the Pasig LGU's Innovation for Circular Economy (ICE) Hub;
- Strategic partnerships that took place to manifest circular economy initiatives;
- Areas for collaboration with the EU-PH community and Pasig LGU.
Ultimately, the event seeks to foster stronger public-private cooperation and international collaboration in advancing sustainable urban development and scaling innovative solutions within and beyond Pasig City.
