
GHG Quantification & Reporting Awareness Training
COURSE DESCRIPTION
It is designed to provide participants with foundational knowledge and practical skills in the quantification and reporting of greenhouse gases (GHG) emissions. The course covers key principles and methodologies based on international standards such as GHG protocol and ISO 14064-1.
COURSE OBJECTIVES
At the end of the course, participants will be able to:
- Understand the basic science and policy background of climate change and the importance of GHG reporting.
- Identify and classify direct and indirect GHG emissions.
- Apply appropriate methods for quantifying GHG emissions using recognized standards.
- Understand the proper usage of emission factors and activity data to calculate emissions from various sources.
- Understand key elements of GHG reporting.
- Understand the importance of data quality, verification, and third-party assurance in GHG reporting.
