Competitive Future Workforce: Strengthening Internationalization in Higher Education Institutions

30Aug
Committee Dialogue

The ECCP's 24 sector committees regularly meet to discuss issues and actionable solutions, which are then elevated to the government through a series of advocacy tools which include letters to members of the government, drafting of bills, creation of position papers on proposed reforms or current issues, and a collection of Advocacy Papers published every year. ECCP positions cover crosscutting issues and sector specific position papers, listing key recommendations on actions needed to support market access for European businesses and enable long-term economic welfare for the Philippines.

One of the committees is the Education Advocacy Committee, spearheaded by the ECCP-Southern Mindanao Business Council led by Chairman Mr. Antonio Peralta, which aims to bring together higher educational institutions (HEIs) in the region and give them a role to play in shaping the future of Mindanao's growing economy. The platform fosters cooperation between HEIs and their counterparts in the Brunei, Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines - East ASEAN Growth Areas (BIMP-EAGA).

With the success of the Advancing Internationalization: A Forum on Shaping the Future of Mindanao Through Education last April 25, 2023 held at the University of Science and Technology of the Southern Philippines (USTP), Cagayan de Oro City, the chamber wishes to keep the ball rolling for the Education Advocacy Committee in Northern Mindanao. Moving forward, the Northern Mindanao chapter of ECCP is conducting an event partnership with the Iligan Chamber in organizing another leg of the said forum on July 20, 2023 in Iligan City from 1:00 PM – 3:00 PM called the "Competitive Future Workforce: Strengthening Internationalization in HEIs".

Maximize your participation and showcase your products and services by being an event partner that comes with a Marketing Space at the venue.
