Around 20%-50% of workers around the world are exposed to potentially incurring occupational-related injuries, with the estimate potentially being higher when looking into low/middle-income countries due to the prevalence of manual labor and hazardous tasks in these countries. In the Philippines, a research showed that a rising trend of work-based injuries or fatalities occurred from from 2011 to 2017. So how can occupational injuries be mitigated?

The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) is organizing a Learning Session which will tackle how to mitigate work-based injuries and fatalities by utilizing behavioral science and industry safety to observe daily work practices of employees to identify root causes of unsafe work practices and learn how to address it properly.

Behavior Based Safety Training promotes the creation of better and safer working conditions for organizations. It acknowledges the fact that employees would often be exposed to less than perfect working conditions to which it puts them in situations of choosing to work safely or to cut corners, and often unsafe practices, to accomplish tasks faster. In this Learning Session Series, it will show you how to identify unsafe employee work practices and mitigate work-related accidents.
