THE European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) ushered in the new year with a New Year’s reception attended by more than 300 executives, diplomats, policymakers and business leaders.
In his address, ECCP President Paulo Duarte underscored the importance of collaboration, innovation and shared responsibility in strengthening bilateral trade and investment ties between Europe and the Philippines.
Among the guests were ARTA Secretary Ernesto Perez and Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Francis Lim.

The event was organized by ECCP Executive Director Florian Gottein and his team. The reception served as a platform for networking and dialogue, highlighting the chamber’s role in connecting European and Philippine business communities.
A highlight of the evening was a symbolic gesture supporting strengthened bilateral relations and corporate social responsibility.
Romanian businessman Razvan Alexandrescu donated a painting to be auctioned for the benefit of the Gymnastics Association of the Philippines.
Proceeds will support the development of young athletes under the leadership of President Cynthia Carrion.
