The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) is a foreign chamber that promotes European interests in the Philippines and vice versa. As a membership organisation with close to 800 members and a strong partnership with the government, the ECCP offers a strong business network that holds great potential in translating to tangible business opportunities. 

The ECCP organises business meetings, conferences and workshops with the Philippine government officials and relevant stakeholders on key policy reforms of interest to the European-Philippine business community. 

The ECCP is seeking applicants for the Advocacy Research Associate position.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Advocacy Research Associate will work closely with the Industry and Government Affairs Manager and the Advocacy Team in the conduct of his/her duties and responsibilities. The incumbent will be in-charge of coordinating the Chamber’s pillar and flagship events in terms of budget management, marketing and promotions, coordination of payments, among others. The incumbent will be tasked with the following duties: 

• Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with ECCP partners and clients (e.g., ECCP members and non-members);
• Identify, monitor, and research current and relevant emerging advocacy issues, and apprise internal stakeholders and members of these developments and their impact on the European- Philippine business community;
• Coordinate ECCP industry committee meetings and other committee-related activities;
• Assist in coordinating external meetings and liaise with advocacy partners and government officials;
• Handle advocacy committees in coordination with the Advocacy Team and support with other Committees as needed; and
• Support in advocacy committee-related activities and special projects of the Chamber.

Skills and Qualifications

• Degree in public policy, economics, international relations, or any other relevant area of study. This position is open to fresh graduates.
• Organisational, communication, negotiation, and multi-tasking skills.
• Must be skilled in research and analysis.
• Ability to work collaboratively with teams.
