Several representatives of the Joint Foreign Chambers and the Philippine Business Groups met with PEZA Director General Plaza and DOF Assistant Secretary Napao to discuss the recent proposals for CITIRA. The business groups reiterated its position to retain PEZA's existing powers and responsibilities in view of the Agency's outstanding record as an investment promotion agency. Additionally, the importance of granting a longer transition period to concerned parties was underscored.
