The ECCP-Davao conducted its 5th Southern Mindanao Business Council (SMBC) meeting last 7 November 2019 at Frog Kaffee, Davao City. Upcoming events such as the 2nd ECCP Golf Challenge Mindanao on 30 November 2019, ECCP SMBC Christmas Party and the launching of the Business Insights Tour + (BIT +) were discussed. Furthermore, the Bangsamoro Development Agency (BDA) presented to the council the situation of families affected by the recent earthquakes. Save the Children Philippines also pitched their own programs in helping the children affected by the said calamity. 

One of the highlights in the meeting is the launching of the BIT +, an initiative of ECCP SMBC to reach out to rural communities where its participating members are engaged in farming communities and the academe. This program is a benchmarking collaboration between the ECCP SMBC, BARMM Commission on Higher Education (BARMM CHED), and the BDA. This helps to upscale business practices among MSMEs in the BARMM area.
