2026 Tax Forum
Tax compliance is a cornerstone of good governance and business sustainability. In the Philippines, evolving regulations, procedural updates, and technological innovations continue to reshape the tax landscape. Businesses face challenges in ensuring compliance while optimizing tax planning and navigating new reporting requirements.
The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP), in its commitment to support European and multinational businesses in the country, recognizes the need for timely, practical, and expert-led discussions on tax compliance, reporting obligations, and strategies to manage risk.
The Inaugural ECCP Tax Forum will provide a platform for businesses, tax professionals, and government representatives to discuss key issues, share best practices, and address practical challenges in tax compliance, with a focus on the pre-filing period.
The ECCP will convene its Inaugural Tax Forum 2026 as a high‑level, public‑sector‑focused dialogue, providing the business community with direct engagement with senior policymakers and regulators responsible for tax administration and incentives oversight.
The program will follow a moderated Q&A/interview‑style format, where:
- All speakers and resource persons are from the public sector (DOF, BIR, BOI and PEZA); and
- Private sector representatives, will serve as moderators/interviewers, articulating practical business compliance concerns.
The discussions will focus on pre‑filing preparation, compliance expectations, incentives administration, audit risks, and digital tax systems, enabling businesses to move from preparation to protection.
Objectives:
- Provide practical guidance on pre-filing preparation, documentation, and compliance strategies.
- Highlight key reminders and updates on relevant tax laws, regulations, and deadlines.
- Facilitate dialogue between the private sector and government agencies (DOF, BIR, BOI and PEZA) on challenges and opportunities in tax administration.
- Share insights on risk management, audits, and dispute resolution.
- Enhance awareness of digital filing systems, e-invoicing, and other technology-driven tax processes.
