Davao continues to strengthen its position as a strategic economic hub within Mindanao, driven by developments in agribusiness, infrastructure, logistics, renewable energy, and digital transformation. As a vital component of the regional growth corridor, Davao serves as a gateway linking Mindanao to domestic and international markets.

At the same time, economic cooperation between the Philippines and the European Free Trade Association (EFTA)—composed of Norway, Switzerland, Iceland, and Liechtenstein—offers significant opportunities for enhanced trade, investment, sustainability partnerships, and technology exchange.

Recognized globally for leadership in renewable energy, maritime industries, innovation, sustainability, advanced manufacturing, and green finance, EFTA member states are well-positioned to engage with Mindanao stakeholders in fostering long-term, inclusive, and resilient growth.

EFTA–Mindanao Dialogue: Maximizing Opportunities in the Regional Growth Corridor of Southern Mindanao will convene senior government officials, diplomatic representatives, and business leaders in a formal banquet setting to explore how EFTA–Mindanao partnerships can unlock strategic investment opportunities and deepen economic ties.
