The Receivables Accountant coordinates with the accounting team including other departments, expects to work in a computerized environment, detailed oriented, resourceful, and works with minimum supervision.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Ensures on-time, accurate, and complete billing to members/clients
  • Makes outbound calls and emails to remind clients to pay on time to reduce accounts receivable delinquency
  • Responds timely and professionally to all members’ concerns, queries, and requests related to billing and collection
  • Prepares & updates receivables status report and prepares weekly collection report
  • Issues official receipts for all payments received and properly identifies which payments & related invoices they are for
  • Arranges collection with messengers and prepares bank deposits
  • Sends invoices and follows up payment of event attendees who requested for send-billing after the event
  • Fills out forms and submits all documents needed in supplier accreditation
  • Ensures BIR 2307 for taxes withheld by members/clients are complete and on file
  • Ensures Filing of SAWT to BIR Alphalist to ensure compliance with the BIR deadlines.
  • Collaborates closely with other team members in proposing ways to improve collections
  • Ensures that invoices, official receipts, & other accounting documents are filed and maintained in a manner easily retrievable
  • Assists during audit
  • Proposes improvement of the AR Billing & Collection Process
  • Other tasks that may arise, related to the position

Qualifications: 

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field.
  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in billing, collections, or accounts receivable.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Oracle Netsuite, and BIR Compliance a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication and client-service skills.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and collaborate effectively.
  • High integrity, confidentiality, and willingness to assist in audits and process improvements.
