The European Chamber of Commerce of the Philippines (ECCP) is a foreign chamber that promotes European interests in the Philippines and vice versa. As a membership organization with over 700 members and a strong partnership with the government, the ECCP offers a strong business network that holds great potential in translating to tangible business opportunities.

The ECCP organizes business meetings, conferences and workshops with the Philippine government officials and relevant stakeholders on key policy reforms of interest to the European-Philippine business community.

The ECCP is seeking applicants for the Events and Advocacy Associate position.

Duties and Responsibilities

The Events and Advocacy Associate will work closely with the Industry and Government Affairs Manager and the Advocacy Team in the conduct of his/her duties and responsibilities. The incumbent will be in-charge of coordinating the Chamber’s pillar and flagship events in terms of budget management, marketing, and promotions, coordination of payments, among others. The incumbent will be tasked with the following duties:

  • Create, maintain and update database of potential leads for sponsors and delegates;
  • Prepare, sell, and close event management contracts and sponsorship deals;
  • Establishing and maintaining a good working relationship with partners, vendors, and clients (e.g., ECCP members and non-members);
  • Support in conceptualizing policy advocacy events;
  • Prepare invitation letters and marketing materials;
  • Support in advocacy committee-related activities and special projects of the Chamber; and
  • Perform duties as may be deemed necessary by the Manager and the Executive Director.

Skills and Qualifications

  • Degree in public relations, business management, or any other relevant area of study. This position is open to fresh graduates.
  • Experience in event planning or event coordination in a corporate environment, including managing budgets and expense tracking is an advantage.
  • Organizational, communication, negotiation, and multi-tasking skills.
  • Ability to remain calm under pressure without losing a customer-service oriented attitude.
  • Ability to handle high volume of work in tight time constraints.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with teams.
