Part 1 PREVENTIVE MAINTENANCE SERVICE OF GASOLINE AND DIESEL ENGINES

Energy Efficient Automotive Technologies – an overview of the innovations in efficient fuel systems and cleaner emissions technologies, comparing old and new systems (with emphasis on new vehicle features e.g. CRDI, GDI and Vehicle Emission Improvement).

Improving Fuel Efficiency and Reliability through Preventive Maintenance Service – presentation on the benefits of having vehicles serviced regularly, i.e. vehicle service life,  fuel efficiency,  optimum engine output, emission levels,  vehicle downtime rate;  Correlation between “emission levels and fuel consumption” will be presented and translated into cost-benefit analysis.

Overview on Preventive Maintenance Service – presentation and discussion on vehicle maintenance schedules and procedures such as servicing schedule, parts replacement schedule and recommended procedures.

Ideal Workshop Competencies – presentation on the essential points on how to identify eligible automotive service workshops for company specific vehicle service needs: specifically:  State of the Art Technical Know-How, availability of Modern Diagnostic and Service Tools & Equipment.

Part 2  UNITED NATIONS ENVIRONMENT PROGRAMME (UNEP)  Clean Fleet Management Toolkit  Workshop

This workshop is designed to provide knowledge on how to measure and subsequently reduce emissions from their vehicle fleets.  It will familiarize participants with the UNEP Clean Fleet Management Toolkit,  which they can use to assess the environmental impacts of their vehicle fleet and select, as well as weigh the potentials of different clean fleet management measures that they can implement. The workshop shall give special emphasis on low-cost and easy-to-implement measures such as eco-driving and vehicle maintenance.
